After carving the netbook niche not so long ago, here comes the all mighty Asus reportedly planning to come out with the Eee Reader.  Times Online got the full scoop about Asus’ plans for the Eee Reader. The report was full of details of what we should expect from the Eee Reader. Here are some of the salient features of the Asus Eee Reader:

• Asus is looking into releasing a premium and budget Eee Reader
• The Eee Reader will sport a hinged spine, simulating a real book
• One screen can be used for reading while the other screen for browsing the web
• Touchscreen-enabled for flipping through the pages of ebooks
• The Eee Reader would be a full-color ebook reader
• The Eee Reader will be competitively priced

The Asus Eee Reader is expected to be released sometime in 2010. Price will be around on the sub-$200 mark.
