Here comes another entrant into the gradually expanding e-book market. Spring Design has just launched a new e-book reader called – Alex. What makes this new e-book reader interesting and exciting is the fact that it runs the Google Android. With the Android platform inside, Alex e-book reader features full browser capabilities and dual-screen interaction technology.  The e-book reader uses its monochrome EPD (electronic paper display) for displaying e-books while its other screen, an LCD this time is used for hyperlinked multimedia information and third party input.

Alex enables full web browsing via Wi-Fi or mobile networks through 3G, EVDO/CDMA and GSM.

Other features of Alex e-book reader include a 6-inch E-Ink EPD display, 3.5-inch color LCD, earphones and speakers and SD card.
