MSI to Join the e-Book Reader Market with a Tegra-based eReader

Things are sure to hit up and get pretty exciting for the e-book reader market in 2010. Asus has just announced that it’s 9-inch Eee Reader won’t be ready by first quarter of 2010 and look who is also planning to release their own e-book reader? None other than Asus major rival in the netbook market – MSI.MSI chairman Joseph Hsu revealed that his company is current developing an Nvidia Tegra-based e-book reader.  With such platform, expect the MSI Wind e-book reader to pack in some powerful features aside from just being a grayscale e-ink capable e-book reader.

No other details are available yet, although sources say that MSI already has a prototype and is currently encountering some problems so they have to wait until 2010 before announcing more details about th e-book reader.

In case you’re not aware both Asus and MSI are staunch rival in the netbook market. So, things will surely get pretty exciting once this two released their respective e-book readers.
