Nook Will Accept Gift Cards, While Kindle Arrives in Canada

Barnes & Noble ebookstore will soon start  accepting B&N gift cards when purchasing ebooks, just in time for the Christmas shopping season and possibly for use by users who will be receiving their Nooks in December. Specific details will be announced sometime around mid-December.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Canada those who have been waiting for the Amazon Kindle will be happy by now. Amazon has began selling the ereader in Canada today. The Amazon Kindle that will be sold in Canada is also priced at $259 and will give users access to around 300,000 ebook titles. Local Canadian newspapers will also be available for download later on.
