Plastic Logic’s proReader Embedded with Options 3G Module
Something big happened with Plastic Logic’s proReader even before it’s projected release in early 2010. Wireless Technology company Options announced that their 3G module GTM501 just got inside ProLogic’s QUE proReader.With Options GTM501 3G module, the proReader will be able to provide real-time broadband wireless connectivity to prospective users of the ereader device.
The PlasticLogic proReader is scheduled for an early 2010 release, most probably after the CES 2010 event. It’s being touted as a slim and lightweight eReader which is barely 1/3 inch thick. Something that eReaders should be if they are to replace the traditional printed books.
Hopefully, the addition of Options 3G module will not cause the proReader’s price to go up.
