Sony Daily Edition Reader Up for Pre-Order, Ships on Dec 18
Sony has put up the pre-order page for its new Daily Edition Reader. You can place your order now and expect to have your unit arrive between Dec. 18 onwards.
A report from the NYT says that Sony is not promising that the Daily Edition eReader will arrive in time for Christmas. Sony is apparently being cautious in promising a release only to fail customers who will pre-order the said Daily Edition Reader. So, if you will order the Daily Edition eReader be forwarn that your ereader may arrive on your doorsteps as late as January.
In case you’re not aware, the Sony Daily Edition eReader will have the a Vizplex 7.1 inches with 16 level gray scale, supports online download of books from Sony’s ebook store through Wi-Fi, and supports the following ebook and file formats:
- DRM Text : ePub (Adobe DRM protected), PDF (Adobe DRM protected), BBeB Book (PRS DRM protected)
- Image : JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP
- Unsecured Audio : Unsecured Adudio: MP3 (Non encrypted), AAC (Non encrypted)
- Unsecured Text : ePub, BBeB Book, PDF, TXT, RTF, Micrsoft® Word, (Conversion to the Reader requires Word installed on your PC)
