Sony E-Reader to Sell WSJ, NY Post and Market Watch
Unlike Amazon Kindle, one setback that the Sony E-Reader has is the lack of digital edition of major news dailies. But that was before today’s deal between Sony and News Corp.
Under the said deal Sony will soon start selling electronic subscription to several of Newscorp’s digital publication including the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Dow Jones and Market Watch. These publications will be available on Sony’s latest Daily Edition ereader.
Amazon Kindle currently offers electronic subscription to Wall Street Journal but not with Market Watch, which happens to be a free content.
Aside from the WSJ subscription owners of Sony Daily Edition e-reader will also have the option to buy a $5 monthly subscription to the daily evening update, WSJ Plus on top of the $14.99 monthly subscription that they have to pay for the WSJ.
