For Spring Design’s Alex eReader, it pays to have their device running on the Android Platform. One the perks is something that would make their otherwise over-priced eReader appealing to users – access to Google Books online or downloaded through Android’s web browser and search application.
This is big news for Alex eReader since one of the success of an ebook reader lies of course with a parallel ebookstore service. Industry leaders Kindle, Nook and Sony all have their own supported ebook store. Plus factor for the Alex eReader is the fact that most of the ebooks on Google Books catalog are free. So, that’s a good start for first time users of the Alex eReader.
The only thing that would probably stop users from buying the dual-screen eReader is perhaps its price.
