Another Eee Reader Revealed, DR-950 with 9-inch Screen
Suddenly, Asus decided to make some noise about its e-book reader. Fresh from the Times Online scoop regarding the Asus DR-750 e-book reader, here comes Electric Pig running a report on another version of the said e-book reader. This time it’s called the DR-950. And it will sport a 9-inch Sipix panel with 1024×768 resolution. It will also have touchscreen features as well as text-to-speech that can support up to 26 languages.
The DR-950 will have a web browser, virtual keyboard, handwriting input, RSS reader, dictionary.
It’s technical specs include – Wi-Fi, HSPA, optional WiMAX, data radios, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, 4GB of internal memory, SD card expansion. It will support PDF, TXt, Audible, MP3 and DRM-free ePub.
By all means, the Asus DR-950 seemed fully loaded with good stuff. The only question left now is, who will be Asus’ content partners?
